| Objective of the project | Overall objective is to strengthen EC-Government of Kazakhstan cooperation mechanisms and government ownership on EC external assistance. The purpose of the project is to strengthen the planning, consultation, coordination and contribution capacities of the NCU with regard to EC and other donors' cooperation programmes and to align them with national development goals in the framework of existing cooperation agreements. | | Requirements | Qualifications and skills - University degree in Public Administration or similar fields
- Fluency in English language
- Good command of Russian language would be a distinct advantage
General professional experience - Minimum 10 years international experience in international cooperation 5 of which in a leadership position, preferably in institutional development and/or donor coordination and support to national coordination units, preferably related to EC external assistance
Specific professional skills and experience - Experience in participation in similar projects in the past
- Up-to date knowledge of strategies, methodologies and principles of EC external assistance, including on monitoring/quality of external assistance; ownership; aid effectiveness
- Experience in conducting training courses, preferably on issues related to external aid
- Experience in development planning and/or aid programmes, preferably related to EC assistance
- Previous work experience in CIS countries would be an advantage
