Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Programme

Development cooperation policy is an integral part of the foreign policy of Lithuania. Its objectives are the following: the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals approved by the United Nations, ensuring peace, global economic growth and social stability, reduction of the disparities between developed and developing countries, integration of developing countries into the global economy.


The programme is implemented by the the Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Central Project Management Agency is responsible for administration of projects under the programme. The total amount allocated for implementation of the projects in 2018 is 723,500 EUR
