Rebuilding Ukraine projects

For over a decade, Ukraine has been a priority partner of Lithuania in the national development cooperation policy agenda. On February 24, 2022, a new phase of Russian military aggression began, resulting in extensive destruction of Ukraine's infrastructure. Therefore, Lithuania aims to contribute to the implementation of the plan for Ukraine’s recovery presented by the Ukrainian Government on July 4, 2022, at the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine held in Lugano.

To demonstrate its commitment, Lithuania was among the first countries to initiate reconstruction projects on the ground. The rebuilt Ruta kindergarten has become the flagship project implemented by the Central Project Management Agency (CPVA) within #CoCreateFutureOfUkraine program aimed at aiding Ukraine to recover in the wake of the war since the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion. Currently, six more projects are under implementation, and more are in the pipeline.

CPVA has significantly strengthened its organizational capacities to develop and manage additional initiatives in the future.
