Internal security fund for the period 2014-2020

The Internal Security Fund will promote the implementation of the Internal Security Strategy, law enforcement cooperation and the management of the EU's external borders.
 
CPMA is responsible for 218,89 million EUR investment in Lithuania.

Financial instruments

 

 

The ISF is composed of two instruments:

ISF Borders and Visa

Instrument for financial support for external borders and visa.

ISF Police

Instrument for financial support for police cooperation, preventing and combating crime, and crisis management.

 

The ISF Borders and Visa instrument's main objective is to contribute to ensuring a high level of security in the Union while facilitating legitimate travel. 

The ISF Police component of the Internal Security Fund will contribute to ensuring a high level of security. 

Concrete actions to be funded through both instruments can include a wide range of initiatives, such as setting up and running IT systems, acquisition of operational equipment, promoting and developing training schemes and ensuring administrative and operational coordination and cooperation.
