The Practitioners’ Network gathered in Brussels: money alone cannot solve the problem

The CEO of Central Project Management Agency (CPMA) Lidija Kašubienė participated in the High Level CEO meeting of the Practitioners’ Network for European Development Cooperation (PN) member organizations in Brussels. The aim of this meeting was to endorse the Statement of Intent by the three networks: the PN, European Development Finance Institutions (EDFI) and Joint European Financiers for International Cooperation (JEFIC).

“During “Inclusiveness2023“ event in Brussels it was repeated several times that money alone cannot solve the problem. The solution proposed is complementarity of technical and financial cooperation. As representative of technical assistance implementing agency, I see that cooperation brings bigger value than cooperation costs. Well organised, integrated and balanced cooperation means greater impact, better results, mitigation of risks, more enabling investment environment, additionality and scalability. We have to be open for rethinking how we do development cooperation. As CPMA we especially see the need of technical and financial cooperation in urgent reconstruction efforts in Ukraine where we have to act fast, to do more and better“, says the CEO of CPMA Lidija Kašubienė.

During the last few months, the three networks have worked on a joint statement of intent to further enhance the successful collaboration among the networks’ members, by building on their existing expertise, their complementarities and synergies.

This CEO meeting provided a space for discussion on how the members of the PN, EDFI and JEFIC can leverage on the strengths and added value towards transformational impact in partner countries.
