Since 2014, Ukraine has been a priority partner of Lithuania in the national development cooperation policy agenda.
In 2022 February 24 a new phase of Russian military aggression began, resulting in extensive destruction of Ukraine's infrastructure. Lithuania is ready to continue cooperation and partnership with Ukraine and implement infrastructure reconstruction projects. Projects which are necessary in order to help Ukraine suffering from the war.
Therefore, Lithuania, aims to:
- contribute to the implementation of the plan presented 2022 July 4 by the Government of Ukraine at the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine held in Lugano, on how to rebuild a European, stronger, socially inclusive and prosperous Ukraine,
- help the Ukraine government and society fighting against the Russian Federation, which is carrying out open military aggression,
- contribute to the reconstruction of war-damaged public objects and infrastructure on the territory of Ukraine,
and taking into account the needs of Ukraine, implements various support measures and projects entrusted to the Central Project Management Agency.
