Practitioners‘ Network for European Development Cooperation
Founded in 2007, the Practitioners’ Network for European Development Cooperation is an informal platform that brings together European development cooperation agencies implementing EU-funded development cooperation and other EU external action programs in the world. Within the framework of this network, the agencies work closely with the European Commission's Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA), which participates in the network as an observer. This informal platform brings together representatives of agencies, providing an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between European and EU member states in the implementation of development cooperation policy, sharing information and accumulated experience.
Currently, 22 organizations participate in the network (SIDA, GIZ, ADA, FD, FIIAPP, Expertise France, British Council, etc.), of which 17 are full members and 5 are associate members. CPMA became a member of the network in 2018. and already in 2021-2022 CPMA together with the German agency GIZ chaired this network for a year. During various meetings and working groups, the Lithuanian and German agencies presiding over the network paid a lot of attention to the network's strategic vision, dissemination of public sector experience, exchange of experience in digitization, the green course and other areas.
Together with the British Council, CPMA leads the Network Working Group "Effective Partnership and Implementation". This working group was created to promote mutual knowledge, effective coordination and strong partnership between the network members themselves, as well as between the network members and the EC. The objectives of this group are twofold: to strengthen mutual knowledge and exchange in order to fully foster the principles of the network and to contribute to better common implementation practices.
Since 2017, CPMA has been organizing Practitioners' Club meetings in Lithuania, the purpose of which is to share the most relevant development cooperation information, meet with Lithuanian public sector institutions that are actively involved in the implementation of EU Twinning and other projects, exchange practical advice and discuss important issues for more effective implementation of development cooperation projects.
International tenders for development cooperation
CPMA, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, collects and provides state and municipal institutions and bodies with information about planned and/or published tenders for development cooperation projects that are financed by international donors, especially those financed by the EU. CPMA participates in the preparation of applications of state and municipal institutions and bodies for development cooperation projects financed by international donors, and administers their implementation.

The most active sectors of development cooperation
CPMA and Lithuanian institutions are most active in the following areas of development cooperation:

6) Management of public finances (taxes, customs, digital solutions, management of EU funds)

This information is extremely relevant for countries that are just about to join the EU and for other countries that are implementing significant reforms. We have been implementing programs in over 10 different countries for more than 18 years and are a recognized team of international experts. The Law on Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid of the Republic of Lithuania provides this function for the agency.
